Compliance regulations for selling audio/visual and information technology equipment into the US and Europe will be changing in 2020. The volume of products needing recertification means that many companies will be left waiting in line for testing and locked out of the market when the regulatory changes take effect.
The new standards cover a wide range of tech products, including: computing and networking, consumer electronics, displays, display units, telecommunication products, office appliances, equipment for IT, audio and visual communication.
The new regulations will require that manufacturers conduct a risk assessment to provide during certification testing. To make this less onerous, UL can conduct a fundamental design review and gap analysis to help guide you in producing your assessment documentation.
In this webinar, UL experts will explain what you need to know to keep your products flowing unhindered after Dec. 20, 2020:
- Changes from the legacy standards to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 62368-1, required to sell into various markets, including Europe, USA, Canada.
- Progress of 62368-1 3rd edition publishing and adoption.
How to get a gap analysis to give your company time to mitigate design issues needed to meet changes in the standards.
